Reader's Digest HOMEMADE

The other day I was at the library and I found that this book, "Reader's Digest Homemade" was available on the shelves.  I've taken this book out about six months ago and since it has so much in it, I wanted to look through it again.  I'm sure this book is something that people reading my blog would get a great deal of information out of it so I thought I would let people know about it.  See if you can get it out from your local library as it's about Homemade and Simple Living ideas from tips and recipes, green cleaning to baking.  I highly recommend you get a hold of it and put the kettle on.

The book was first produced in 2010 and can be ordered from the following websites:-
www.readersdigest.com.au (phone 1300-300-030) (Australia)
www.readersdigest.co.nz or (phone 0800 400 060 (New Zealand)
www.readersdigest.co.za or (phone 0800 980 572 (South Africia)
or email customerservice@au.readersdigest.com

I have no idea if this book is still in print or available however the above details were taken off the inside of the book so I thought I would provide the information.  If your local library has it try and get it out or order it in.  Even if your library doesn't have it as part of their catalogue if you ask them and this "simple living" thing is huge at the moment they usually will buy the book in anyway for their library catalogue.  Again, I'm not sure if it's currently available in print but thought I would mention that.

It covers things like Spicy Tomato Salsa, Mint Sauce, Dry mixes like pancakes etc. preserving, salad dressings, making your own lip balm, general housecleaning recipes, recipes for furniture polish, mold and mildew removers, treats for birds and lots and lots of other home remedies.

  1. Thank you for this tip off, I will look out for it. I will make a trip to the main library in town, as our mobile does not have it due to lack of space.

    1. Your comment made me laugh that no one had ever checked the book out, however in saying that it looks like it could be great for you to be the first reader. Kathy

  4. Kathy this book is still in print. I just checked on Booko (a brilliant site that I use all the time when searching for books) I bought a copy for my daughter a couple of years ago and she loves it. As a busy mum of four she has found heaps of ideas to use. I too thoroughly recommend it.
