This week I went to our local organic farmers market, baked Sourdough Farmers Bread and picked a couple of little home grown veggies from the garden. The veggie garden doesn't have much in it at the moment and the heat isn't helping much either. I'm going to put a bit of shade cloth over them so I can get some lettuce and herbs in the ground as I love eating home grown veggies. Hope you have a good weekend.

Around here
It's been a very hot week here and today it's going to be 36 degrees. My sister lives in Perth and it's going to be 42 degrees there today. The terrible fires are still continuing in Australia what seems to be weeks and weeks. With dry vegetation, hot weather and winds I'm not sure when it's going to end.

We were lucky in South Australia this week with our temperatures in the low to mid 20's, of course, it couldn't last, and Sunday is going to be 40°C. The fires are terrible the whole country is so desperately in need of rain here's hoping we get some soon and I hope you get some cooler weather.
ReplyDeleteHopefully all the rain won't come at the same time and then the country is in flood in January.
DeleteHi Kathy your sour dough bread looks fantastic, and I love going to markets,I am in Vic and we have been having winter weather ,we have had the heater on for the last week, hope you have a lovely weekend xx
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping by Sheryl...I know it's crazy, hot weather here in Qld, snow in Victoria and bush fires all over....
DeleteThat's a lovely looking loaf of bread ... What a great pattern on the top. Although your photos look very green, we have been hearing a lot over here about the fires and feel anxious for you all.
ReplyDeleteIt's 38 degrees in Brisbane today 100.4 and Brisbane is very smokey and has quite a few fires on the outskirts of Brisbane. It seems relentless and today is an inside day with the air conditioner as it's so hot and smokey outside. Yes the bread turned out great. Thanks for stopping by. Kathy
