Around here - Sandgate

Yesterday afternoon it was low tide at Sandgate which is always good for having a walk on the beach, taking photos and having fish and chips.  The moon last night was AMAZING, so huge and orange and spectacular however moon photos are hard to take and real life is way better, so for now here's a few other pics from our afternoon.

  1. Lovely photos Kathy. I can't believe you are still wearing tee shirts and thongs in June. It was -1°C here in South Australia when I got at 7.30, it's gone up a bit since then it's now 0.4°C.

    1. Ha ha...my daughter had a t-shirt on, I had a jacket but that was my thongs because their was sand and water and didn't want my sketchers wet. Wow -1c is cold.

    1. Thanks Staci, I've only over taken one amazing moon photo with my big lens then had to crop it in close so it filled the frame - it was really cool however I don't usually bother anymore. It was a beautiful sunset at Sandgate.

  3. Oh goodness, such beautiful photos and light. I haven't walked up at Sandgate for a really long time now and your post has me missing it so. I will have to do this again soon for it's so relaxing to walk along the path by the sea or out on the flats when the tide is out. Meg:)
